Taiwanese Organic Retail Chain Leezen Chooses Nakivo

Nakivo Inc. announced that Leezen Company Ltd, an organic retail chain in Taiwan, has selected its Backup & Replication to protect their VMware environment.

With 97 stores and 11 overseas locations, Leezen collaborates with 230 farms and 380 vendors, has thousands of employees, and 6 million devoted consumers. It supplies more than 2,000 items, ranging from organic fruits and vegetables, food products, clothing made from organic cotton, selective household items, to audio books and supplies related to Buddhism.

“Our infrastructure consists of five ESXi hosts, with approximately 70-80 VMware VMs. Critical applications and data must be recovered instantly, including SQL, Oracle DB, Oracle JDE, ordering system, and product audit system,” says Wan, IT manager, Leezen.

Leezen’s top priority is to maintain 24/7 access to their applications and data.

“We have established a large interconnected network of resellers, vendors, and customers who depend on our timely day-to-day operations. If there is a problem with our IT infrastructure, this would affect BC tremendously,” says Wan.

Formerly, Leezen’s physical environment was protected by installing agents on each machine and copying data to external HDDs.

“Our approach was too old-fashioned, that is why we finally agreed to virtualize our environment. We decided to find a backup solution that would give us a sense of stability and protection. We needed a cost-effective and easy to use product that could quickly backup and instantly restore our VMware VMs,” says Wan.
