IT Specialists Becoming One of First Nutanix UK MSPs

IT Specialists (ITS), a UK MSP and a trading name of Reynolds and Reynolds Limited, has announced a partnership with Nutanix, Inc.

The partnership sees ITS offer the Nutanix platform alongside its proprietary BlackVault Managed Recovery Platform data recovery and network security solutions. ITS customers have access to an outsourced hyper-converged IT infrastructure with compute, storage, virtualisation, data vaulting, data recovery and network security – from a single provider.

As a 4,500-employee software and services provider, ITS already provides SMBs with three services: BC, national IT support and field services, and 24/7 help-desk.

Through partnership, ITS is offering SME clients the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform, which combines storage, compute and virtualised platform with one-click management for data centre operations. Traditionally users purchased separate servers, storage and network equipment, along with management software, whereas Nutanix provides a single, simplified platform for better efficiency.

BlackVault Managed Recovery Platform, which includes managed services such as vaulting, data recovery and BlackVault Guardian for data and network security, will protect data stored in Nutanix, making the solutions complementary.

According requirements, customers can mix and match from the entire Nutanix range, which provide SMEs with access to enterprise features (such as clustering and multi-site) at a transparent and low cost. Customers can select from a series of hardware modules, each of which is a capable server in its own right. These are linked together into a platform of virtual server resources by their management software. With the benefit of a redundant architecture, customers can expect reduced downtime.

ITS provides a service where engineers determine the customer’s required specifications, install the solution and then migrate the customer onto the Nutanix and BlackVault platforms. It also provides ongoing support and training.
