Designed for SMBs, purpose built backup appliances deliver an RTO of any Backup, DR and site recovery capabilities previously not possible without spending a lot.
DraaS capabilities:
-
Simplified management
Single pane of glass to manage your entire infrastructure for both backup and recovery. -
Hybrid cloud
Hybrid cloud platform offers the most reliable and efficient way to backup data securely and ensure that it is recoverable in any disaster scenario. On-premise servers are protected on the backup appliances and mirrored automatically to the Cloud, improving fault tolerance while reducing the reliance on bandwidth speed. -
Instant virtualization
Instant virtualization allows backups of on premise servers to be virtualized and started either locally on the Backup appliance itself or remotely in the secure cloud, in meres. -
Automated backup verification with screenshots
Automated backup verification with screenshots provides complete peace of mind by automatically validating backup integrity. Following backups, the solution virtualizes the backups on the appliance, boots them up to verify recoverability and to detect any backup concerns. These screenshots are then sent via e-mail to the administrator. Scripts can be used to verify applications as well. -
Time-based cloud retention
Company’s billing model takes the guesswork out of cloud billing. Storage for appliances is based on time-frames versus trying to estimate how many gigabytes a customer may need; available as a one year or infinite cloud retention. It establishes a predictable billing model for customers. One flat monthly price, no data cap and no overages. -
End-to-end encryption
All data is protected with AES 256-bit encryption at the source, in transit and in the cloud. Ability to encrypt per appliance or per protected machine to meet compliance regulations. -
Broad OS support
Flashback supports Windows, Mac OSX and Linux OSs. Granular recovery is included for Exchange, Sharepoint and SQL servers. -
Ransomware detection
Flashback actively monitors backups, and when a ransomware footprint is detected, it notifies admins that they have a likely ransomware attack on their hands. From there, recovery is simply a matter of restoring from a previous backup.
“Ransomware has waged a war on businesses and has become one of the biggest cyber security threats in the world. Hackers have extorted businesses and institutions for more than $209 million in ransomware payments in the first three months of 2016 alone and is on pace to be a $1 billion a year crime. Flashback from Idealstor provides the security to recover from such attacks withins to return to business,” said Nandan Arora, CTO, Idealstor.
Flashback appliances are available on order and can be configured to meet customer’s specific requirements.
