Intevac Announces Two Multi-System HDD Orders for 200 Lean Systems

Intevac, Inc. announced the receipt of a multi-system order for 200 Lean.

As with the multi-system orders booked in May and October, these systems will be equipped with the latest technology enhancements for HDD magnetic media sputtering.

“We are pleased to announce the third multi-system order for our industry-leading 200 Lean systems this year,” said Wendell Blonigan, president and CEO. “This order for two 200 Leans is part of an ongoing technology upgrade of existing manufacturing capacity, in support of our customer’s product roadmaps. The systems announced are scheduled to ship in the second half of calendar 2017.”

Intevac’s 200 Lean is a production deposition tool for media manufacturing. The system takes advantage of a portfolio of technology innovations that improve disk media performance while utilizing a platform design that provides high throughput from a small footprint. It delivers best output per square-foot of factory floor space and low cost of ownership.
