ARC-1203-2i 6Gb SATA RAID Controller By Starline

Starline Computer GmbH introduces 6Gb SATA RAID controller from Areca Technology Corporation with two ports.

With two internal ports, the company offers with the ARC-1203-2i a 6Gbp SATA RAID controller solution for workstations and entry-level servers.

The controller features two SATA III ports, a PCIe 2.0×1 interface and an ARM-based I/O processor. The 512MB DDR3 memory is integrated. Up to two SATA III HDDs or SSDs are supported. The ARC-1203-2i offers performance and fault tolerance with data mirroring for protection. Due to the low-profile construction and the low heat output, the controller fits into servers with 1U or 2U.

Like the larger models of the 1203 series, the ARC-1203-2i includes a browser-based storage manager. Access can be received via ArcHTTP proxy server for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and other environments. The controller is for OS-applications in RAID level one. He achieves data transfer rates of up to 400MB/s.

The RAID controllers of the ARC-1203 series are for cost-effective NAS, DVR (Digital Video Recording) and suitable for other applications that require reliability and performance.
