Nutanix Acheving AHV Certification for SAP Business Suite
Powered by SAP NetWeaver
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 15, 2016 at 2:56 pmNutanix, Inc. achieved SAP certification for SAP Business Suite powered by SAP NetWeaver on Linux on the company’s Enterprise Cloud Platform with AHV virtualization.
Nutanix customers can simplify their complete infrastructure and virtualization stack when delivering business-critical SAP applications on the Nutanix enterprise cloud platform.
Companies are often forced to focus efforts on setting up and managing the infrastructure and virtualization stack, diverting critical resources from business-driving activities. Using the Nutanix enterprise cloud platform with native AHV to run the SAP NetWeaver technology platform, customers can take advantage of integrated virtualization management and eliminate the need to buy and manage separate virtualization software. Software developers can accelerate development and testing cycles by deploying performing environments and automating common workflows using a set of Nutanix-provided PowerShell Commandlets and APIs.
“Having already met SAP’s standards to certify our underlying Enterprise Cloud Platform for SAP Business Suite, we’re delighted to introduce even more value with the certification of AHV,” said Rajiv Mirani, SVP of engineering, Nutanix. “Customers like ASM and Excelitas Technologies Corp. that are already taking advantage of the substantial benefits our platform delivers to their business now gain additional IT agility and cost savings.“
In addition to the certification of AHV, Nutanix NX-series hardware platforms using Intel Broadwell processors have been certified to run SAP Business Suite.
Customers running SAP Business Suite will also be able to use Nutanix Acropolis Block Services as supported external storage for their relational databases including SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (SAP ASE), Oracle DB, SQL Server and IBM DB/2 on existing bare-metal or virtualized servers.
The Nutanix NX-series using Broadwell platforms are available.
