NGD Systems Awarded Two Patents
Configurable read-modify-write engine, management of garbage collection operation in SSD

To date, NGD Systems holds 14 patents awarded by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

U.S. Patent 9,448,745 was filed on March 13, 2014 (by NXGN Data, Inc., Irvine, CA – Appl. N°14/210,185) ad awarded for a configurable read-modify-write (RMW) engine and method for operating the same in a solid state drive. In brief, the patent published by the USPTO is for a method of automating the overwriting of host data on a storage device to improve performance while reducing latency and power.
U.S. Patent 9,454,551 was awarded for a system and method for management of garbage collection operations on a solid state drive. The patent application was originally filed on March 13, 2014.
