Avnet Expanding Agreement With Western Digital

Avnet, Inc. will offer HGST-branded products and solutions in China.

This agreement builds on Avnet’s relationships with Western Digital Corporation and its HGST brand in South Asia, Australia, the Americas and EMEA.

With the addition of China, Avnet has become one of the distributors of the HGST brand supporting its solution providers, system builders, system integrators and VARs partners to help them grow their business and meet the challenges of proliferating data growth and data center economic challenges.

HGST products will be available through the Avnet Global Computing Components (AGCC) business unit, which specializes in offering computing components and non-branded server solutions from manufacturers. Avnet will focus on distributing HGST NAS, mobile and enterprise HDDs, SSDs, and external storage products and services. Additionally, Avnet will offer HGST JBOD system, which is designed for data center environments.

Additionally, Avnet’s global logistics, inventory and programs provide them with consistency, scale and cost-efficiency.
