Arcserve Appointing ACA Pacific as Distributor

In Australia

Arcserve, LLC, announced that, following an evaluation of its plans for the Australia market, it has appointed ACA Pacific Pty Ltd as its new distributor in Australia.

ACA Pacific will sell the entire portfolio of Arcserve solutions, including the Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP) and the Arcserve UDP 8000 Appliance, to channel partners in Australia.

ACA Pacific is a VAD of specialist IT hardware and software solutions. With over 28 years of experience, it has earned itself a reputation within the channel for having an understanding of its customer’s needs and sales and technical expertise.

Caddy Tan, regional director, Arcserve APAC, said: “We have been reviewing our plans on how to maximize the potential of this key regional market and decided a fresh approach was required in order-to take our business to the next level. A key component of this was to change our distribution set up to bolster our partner network and we quickly identified ACA Pacific as being the ideal distribution partner for us moving forward. The company’s forte in building markets for ‘best-of-bBreed’ technology to meet changing business dynamics matches Arcserve’s channel commitment perfectly. We look forward to a strong partnership with ACA Pacific to support the channel community in Australia.

Mark Gill, ACA Pacific’s MD, added: “At ACA Pacific we are always seeking out the best technologies out there to match our customers’ needs and we see Arcserve as fitting that bill perfectly within the data protection space. With a portfolio that supports physical, virtual and cloud environments, we are confident of helping Arcserve to accelerate its growth in Australia and make it a win-win situation for both parties.

Since the spin-out from CA Technologies, Arcserve has enjoyed growth as an independent company. It first introduced Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP) in 2014 as a software to combine replication, HA and deduplication technologies in a single, unified solution. Shortly thereafter, the firm built out its portfolio with integrated appliance and cloud offerings to become an all-in-one data protection solution for cloud, virtual and physical environments.

It announced the release of Arcserve UDP to deliver continuous availability, instant recovery, enterprise storage array snapshot integration and enhanced protection for Linux environments. Its platform transforms data protection with a single solution that accelerates partner revenue opportunities and expands market reach.

Last month, Arcserve released its second-generation Unified Data Protection (UDP) Appliance series, a a cost-effective purpose-built backup appliance (PBBA) in the data protection industry. integrated with UDP software, the appliance series simplifies DR for small or overstretched IT teams that want a ‘set and forget,’ yet enterprise-grade data protection solution.

This release augments the company’s first-generation appliance offering, which underscored a 4,900% growth in sales over the past year. Combined, Arcserve offers 16 appliance models that make it suitable platform for organizations looking for a all-in-one data protection solution.

For partners and MSPs looking to expand their data protection portfolio, this release offers a breadth of storage capacity to meet the needs of any size organization. UDP Appliances are interoperable with existing UDP software deployments without the need for additional licenses, and are an all-in-one system for branch or decentralized offices or as the backup, deduplication, DR and cloud gateway appliance for primary locations. The UDP Appliance series will be available in early November.
