Rising NAND Prices Pushed Micron’s Storage Revenue in Fiscal 4Q16
Revenue is generally stable for the SBU (storage business unit). However, revenue fell significantly in fiscal 3Q16 as Micron transitioned from planar to 3D NAND. With the ramp-up of 3D NAND in progress, the company is likely to report a rise in sales volume. Samsung, Intel, Toshiba, and SK Hynix are also transitioning to 3D NAND.
