Novosoft Handy Backup 7.8.4 Cloud Backup

Novosoft, LLC announces the version marked as 7.8 for its Handy Backup solution.

This version of software group backup data by types, containing as well as seven components in the ‘Cloud’ group for direct cloud backup.

Cloud backup is one of most important and frequent tasks in the modern SoHo sector, so we are constantly exchanging our capacity to do it automatically. In our version 7.8.4, there are seven plug-ins for backing up clouds, including Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, common cloud interface and our own cloud backup storage. This version groups different plug-ins by backup data types, and the cloud backup section looks one of the biggest, due to our extended work for automating cloud backups”, said Anton Chmarak, senior product manager, team, Handy Backup.

Handy Backup 7.8.4 contains an interface improvement, grouping plug-ins for all server and user-level data by types. The ‘Cloud’ group containing plug-ins for accessing cloud accounts has now as many as seven components, providing a perfect cloud backup solution for Windows users who plan to save or download data from different cloud services in well-automated manner. In addition, Handy Backup allows using these clouds as backup storages instead of data sources, using these cloud accounts on API level without relying to third-party solutions or bridges. As an example, a user can backup to S3 in automatic mode, which is a popular business backup case.

List of supported clouds includes:

• S3, a common solution for small business companies;

• Dropbox, another cloud for storing documents, photos etc.;

• Google Drive, the integrated cloud service solution for any data and any user;

• Microsoft OneDrive, the default Windows cloud available for many purposes including backup;

• Yandex.Disk, cheap and reliable cloud alternative for Google Drive popular in Asia;

• The Handy Backup’s own cloud solution dedicated for storing backups – HBDrive;

• Any cloud service available through a common data-transferring interface.

In addition, the ‘other’ section of plug-in list contains such cloud-like storage solutions as Box, 4shared and Xref for AutoCAD, which have some popularity among engineers, experts and salesmen in different countries for storing business-level data in these online services.
