This drive marries rugged durability with USB-C, making it a storage solution for next-generation computers like the latest Apple Macbook, as well as USB computers.

The Rugged USB-C drive’s USB-C cable is reversible with no up/down or left/right orientation, so there’s no wrong way to connect the product. Not only is this drive Thunderbolt 3 compatible, it can also be connected to USB 3.0 computers thanks to the included USB-C to USB-A cable. As a result, it can be used on almost any Mac or PC, latest or legacy. This compatibility also means creative professionals can ship the product to a client without worrying about connectivity.

The Rugged USB-C delivers transfer speeds of up to 130MB/s, enabling professionals to quickly transfer footage. It provides enough bandwidth to browse large photo libraries without lag and perform backups fast. Plus, because it is bus powered, the Rugged USB-C is ready to work virtually anywhere.

With capacities of up to 4TB, the Rugged USB-C gives enough space to store amounts of photos or video footage. It is for use as a shuttle drive to transport footage from set to post-production or to store a huge Lightroom library.

The Rugged USB-C, design by Neil Poulton, features the durability that some creative pros have relied on for over a decade. Like its predecessors, it protects data against almost any risk. With resistance to drops, crush, rain, and unauthorized access, the drive is tough enough for extreme conditions – from a sudden rainstorm to a crush of suitcases in an airplane cargo hold.

The Rugged USB-C will be available this month in 1TB ($139.99), 2TB ($179.99) and 4TB ($249.99) capacities with a two-year limited warranty.
