KMI Business Technologies Distributor of Acronis

In India

Acronis International GmbH  signed a master distribution agreement with KMI Business Technologies Pvt. Ltd, to promote and support Acronis solutions in India.

As part of the agreement, KMI will set up a stand-alone business unit called Acronis India with teams, offices and operations located throughout the country. Acronis India will work with and support Indian resellers, and manage service providers who want to sell Acronis hybrid cloud data protection solutions to businesses and public organizations.

Meeting Demand for Increased Data Protection in India
Businesses in India face challenges and requirements when it comes to data protection, including the ability to recover from natural and man-made disasters, while preventing costly data loss related to cyber-threats and security breaches. According to Gartner, by 2017 Indian organizations will spend up to 30% of their IT budget on risk, security, and compliance. Gartner also reports that storage modernization and consolidation, backup and recovery, and DR are some of the key drivers in the Indian market, and they are likely to remain relevant drivers through 2019.

The agreement brings the Acronis brand and IT data protection solutions closer to Indian businesses and consumers, by providing easy and local access to sales engineers, product personnel, and technical support. Acronis India’s partners in the region will benefit from direct access to expertise and local support from people who understand the needs and requirements of the local market. End users will have an opportunity to receive local support as they consolidate data protection solutions, and efforts to reduce system administration resources dedicated to backup and recovery.

Acronis has made investments in cloud data protection and focuses its R&D efforts on developing cloud services solutions for service providers. It delivers a complete cloud architecture and its solutions can plug into existing service provider environments, while supporting their management and business support systems – either in pure cloud or hybrid cloud environments. Ssolutions also feature automation of services that reduces the TCO for data protection, and a scale-out architecture that can support millions of end users.

Acronis products are powered by Acronis AnyData Engine, a set of solutions designed to protect workloads of any type, across all environments and locations. The technology provides data protection, backup, secure file sync and share, and DR to consumers and businesses of all sizes, enabling local service integrators to extend their business by offering data protection solutions to their customers.

For many organizations across India, it is still difficult and expensive to effectively protect their data, especially when dealing with complex environments with different systems and hardware,” said Nilesh Shah, director, KMI. “We chose Acronis because its platform is highly flexible with a unified management console that gives partners and end users ultimate control in how they deploy and manage their data protection solutions – no other company could be better than Acronis.

We are excited to extend our leading Acronis hybrid cloud data protection solutions to one of the fastest growing IT markets in the world,” said Steve Goh, VP and GM of sales for APAC and emerging markets, Acronis. “Through our partnership with KMI and the formation of Acronis India, we are strongly positioned to drive success for our partners and customers by delivering high-touch support attention from sales engineers and product teams that know the local customer requirements.
