Qnap Systems, Inc. announces that the enterprise rackmount TS-EC1280U R2 NAS has received significant feedback from business users.

With two built-in SFP+ based 10GbE ports while keeping the same price tag as the previous TS-EC1280U, the TS-EC1280U R2 enhances IO/s-demanding applications such as virtualization, databases, multimedia online editing, and large file transfer workflows.

The TS-EC1280U R2 provides models powered by an Xeon E3-1246 v3 3.5GHz processor and 4GB DDR3 ECC RAM, and further adds options with an Core i3 3.5GHz processor and 8GB DDR3 non-ECC or 4GB DDR3 ECC RAM. The hardware specification of TS-EC1280U R2 makes it a storage solution for business applications and large-scale storage projects.

It offers four in-built GbE ports and two 10GbE SFP+ ports to support 10GbE high-speed networks, providing businesses.
