M.2 SATA III SSD Solutions by Unigen

Unigen Corporation has announced MLC NAND flash based M.2 SATA III SSD solutions in densities ranging from 32 up to 512GB, using M.2 form factors: 2242, 2260, and 2280 (22mm W, 42/60/80mm L).

These small form factor flash modules are used for reliability storage of critical code and data, in space-constrained embedded, industrial, gaming and networking applications.

The products are designed around a multi-format flash media controller, which allows R/W capability to MLC, eMLC or SLC NAND flash, providing performance and reliability density media to store code and data.

The solutions are based on the M.2 form factor, which operates on a 3.3V power supply. It is compliant with SATA III and backward compatible with SATA II.

The solutions feature a performance throughput of up to 530MB/s read, and 410MB/s write, typical latency lower than 100μs and low power consumption of less than 5W active.

To meet the needs of company’s diverse customer base and applications, these flash modules are offered in both commercial (0°C – 85°C) and industrial (-40°C – 85°C) temperature ranges. They support S.M.A.R.T features and advanced wear leveling.
