Liqid and Kingston Claim Fastest 2.5-Inch SSD

Liqid Inc., in partnership with Kingston Technology Company, Inc., announced the world’s fastest SSD available for demonstration at Flash Memory Summit.

They have partnered to deliver the fastest 2.5-inch PCIe NVMe SSD ever benchmarked.

The Liqid Powered U.2, which is a standard form factor 8639 SSD, saturates the PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 interface by delivering capabilities and performance in an enterprise storage solution.

The 2.5-inch NVMe U.2 is a collaborative development effort between Liqid and Kingston with emphasis on addressing critical enterprise needs by delivering predictable low latency, endurance and class-leading price-performance value.

The underlying architecture in this iteration leverages multiple Phison PS5007-E7 PCIe NVMe controllers and aggregates them using Liqid Powered technology to deliver the highest performing SSD solution for data center and enterprise applications.

The product is in final stages of validation and is expected to be available in late 2016.
