Vadim Comanescu CEO, Syneto

Replacing Marco Lorenzi becoming COO, Rick Dudson VP sales EMEA

Syneto S.R.L. announced the appointments of Vadim Comanescu as CEO and Rick Dudson as VP sales EMEA.

Both appointments are effective immediately and will support compaany’s ambitions to extend its presence across Europe, to continue to drive double-digit growth and to further expand its channel partner ecosystem.

Syneto,ComanescuVadim Comanescu replaces Marco Lorenzi as CEO; moving forward Lorenzi will become the Syneto’s COO and will focus on overseeing day-to-day operations and aligning the entire team with established practices and long-term business goals. Comanescu, who previously held the position of COO at Syneto, will lead the company’s global strategy including long and short-term plans related to technology direction, channel and geographical expansion in EMEA and, eventually, the USA.

Syneto has roots in its native Eastern Europe and Italy, and Comanescu will play a pivotal role in overseeing the introduction of an updated sales model that facilitates faster revenue sales cycles and increased profitability as the company enters new territories. He will bring his experience in strategic business development and in bringing into line business products and processes with long-term market developments. Prior to working on Syneto’s broader vision as COO, he spent his time programming and managing the development of Syneto Storage OS from GUI level down to the kernel itself; as a result, he brings to the table an understanding and knowledge of the business, its solutions and capabilities.

I am thrilled to take on this challenge as the company enters a pivotal stage. We have been preparing for this geographical expansion for some time and we are now in a strong position to roll out our solutions across new markets in Europe,” said Comanescu.

syneto dudsonRick Dudson, who brings more than 25 years’ experience and who previously held senior sales positions at StorPool, Infotrend and Hitachi, has a track record of implementing growth and business development programmes. In his new role, he will be based in London, UK and will take overall responsibility for Syneto’s channel sales organisation in the DACH region, Eastern Europe, France, the Nordics, Iberia and the UK. Reporting to the CEO, he will expand the company’s existing channel sales, develop new channel programmes, and increase market penetration by setting up new routes to market, in countries where Syneto currently does not have an established presence.

Over the past year, Syneto has been developing and fine-tuning storage solutions that address the changes spurred by the staggering growth of the digital universe.

The Syneto product suite, which consists of the ARK, EXTREME and ULTRA arrays series, was developed with a forward-looking approach to remain relevant in an age in which the widespread proliferation of hyper-convergence and software-defined infrastructures is anticipated.

The products have been created to counter the data challenges that SMBs – approximately 90% of all companies worldwide – face today.

Syneto is a company that I have had my eye on for a while. It develops fantastic products and the team knows the storage industry inside out. I am delighted to join just as the company looks to expand into new territories,” said Dudson.

With disruption comes opportunity. We wanted to have the right sales leader to help us to exploit the various changes within the industry; someone who is passionate about helping organisations around the world better manage their data challenges. Rick is just that person. He has an impressive track record and is the ideal candidate to help Syneto expand its presence across the EMEA region,” said Comanescu.
