Mitch Breen Chief Revenue Officer, Progress

Formerly at Simplivity, Oracle and EMC

Progress,breenProgress Software Corporation announced the appointment of Mitch Breen to the role of chief revenue officer.

 

 

In this newly established role, he will be responsible for orchestrating and managing all customer-facing initiatives and revenue channels, including sales, strategic alliances and services.

This appointment comes at a time when Progress is expanding its reach in the digital transformation market, announced in May, with new solutions, partnerships and industry insights.

We knew that as our company went through its own digital transformation, organizing our customer-facing and revenue-generating teams under one global leader was imperative,” said Jerry Rulli, COO. “Mitch Breen understands the technology marketplace and has a strong track record of growth at both large enterprise and start-up organizations. We are confident that with Mitch at the helm of our global revenue generating team, we’ll be able to accelerate our growth and optimize cross-collaboration with the sense of urgency that our vision for the business demads.”

Breen brings to the role executive sales and leadership experience. Most recently, he held the role of SVP, global customer operations at Simplivity, where he drove the pre-IPO start-up to a billion dollar valuation within an 18-month period. Prior to that, he was SVP, North American sales for Oracle, and spent more than 26 years at EMC where he held a variety of sales leadership positions, including SVP of the of America’s, SVP of global mid-range storage, as well SVP of EMC’s channels and alliances. He was also chief of staff to the office of the vice chairman.

Breen will report to Rulli.
