Serial Cables LLC announces the availability of two PCIe Gen3

NVMe host adapter cards and cable solutions:
The PCI-AD-x16HE-PS x16 host card incorporates the Broadcom PEX9733 Capella 2 low latency, nonblocking switch and supports the latest PCI-SIG external cable spec. The PCI-AD-x16HE-PS also incorporates an onboard microcontroller with two I2C busses to make end-to-end CMI (Cable Management Interface) possible. Additionally, Serial Cables has developed and released the PCI-4444S cable, an SFF-8644 connector based cable with single-ended EEPROM support, CMI data and clock signal lines, and with all required PCIe EEPROM data pre-programmed (e.g. propagation delay, crosstalk and capabilities). This host card can be configured to 1×16, 2×8’s or 4×4’s with simple switch on the card. MSRP: $959

The company is also announcing availability of the PCI-AD-HBx8 product line; an x8 slot to dual SFF-8644 or 8643 host adapter incorporating Broadcom’s PEX9716 low latency, non-blocking switches. The host adapters support up to one x8, two x4, or four x2 links; making the PCI-AD-HBx8 product line the first to support 2×2 (dual port) devices in individual x4 SFF-8644 (or SFF-8643) connector. Internal version based on SFF-8643 is also available but not show here. MSRP: $495.

In conjunction with the PCI-AD-HBx8, Serial Cables has also developed and released a T-Cards; the PCI-AD-4439-04-SDP supporting both 1×4 and 2×2 NVMe SSD’s in one adapter and dual SFF-8644 based cable PCI-4339UW-HDD-1M-S2 for supporting two separate hosts communicating with each independent port on the NVMe device. The NVMe T-Card have a built in switch to pull the DualEnable bit low and provide the host RefClk to each x2 port via a single SFF-8644 based cable. Serial Cables has also developed a SFF-8644 based Y-cable for those who would want to have two separate hosts communicate with each of the ports of the NVMe device. MSRP: $495.
