SoftNAS Recruits Three Technology leaders Adam Marano VP product management and advanced R&D, Allan Watty senior director quality assurance, Jat Treadwell director of support

SoftNAS, Inc., in software-based NAS in the cloud, announced three technology leaders have joined the company:

  • Adam Marano serves as VP, product management and advanced R&D,
  • Allan Watty joins at senior director quality assurance and
  • Jat Treadwell leads as director of support.

SoftNAS, which is on a high growth trajectory, attracted this talent to enhance R&D and streamline support as the company continues to expand its global footprint.

softnas maranoWith almost three decades in the technology industry as a developer and business leader, Adam Marano will lead the strategic solution and product roadmap, managing the advanced products team and collaborating with marketing team on go to market activities related to the product roadmap. With an 18-year tenure at Citrix, he has developed worldwide partner alliances with businesses including Samsung, HTC, Sprint and Verizon. He was involved in the release of multiple products including MetaFrame (now XenDesktop), Password Manager and Citrix Access Gateway releases. He has also served as part of the Citrix emerging technologies team helping to incubate and to develop innovative new solutions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from West Virginia University, and an associate certificate in computer science management from CMU/SEI, delivered via Florida Atlantic University.
 
softnas wattyBringing 32 years of software development experience, Allan Watty‘s current responsibilities include building a high performing enterprise-grade organization of software engineers in test and quality, leading the effort to optimize the software testing strategy based on working towards zero defects and support for rapid innovation. His background includes leading global teams across the U.S, Spain, Singapore, India, Bolivia and Australia. He has served in multiple industries including telecommunications, investment banking, project management, pricing, and oil and gas. Previously, he served at ABB, a global automation and power technology business, and has held senior management positions at various chemical, energy, oil and gas software companies including PROS, Aspen Technology and BMC Software. He was formerly with Salomon Brothers (now part of Citibank) and AT&T. he is currently president of the Houston Chapter of the Agile Leadership Network. He holds an MBA from Bauer College, University of Houston, an MS degree in Computer Science from Polytechnic University of New York and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and biology from Lehman College, City University of New York.
 
softnas treadwellAs director of support for SoftNAS, Jat Treadwell is responsible for delivering customer support to a global customer base. He brings diversified experience in software engineering, testing and project management. Formerly, he was director, global support services, at Pivot3, where he was responsible for delivering customer support. He has managed and expanded a global team of pre-sales engineers, prioritizing and scheduling resources to repeatedly exceed customer expectations. He has also served Iomega Corporation where he led international teams, handled project planning and resource allocation, feature definition and performed software builds. He handled multiple aspects of project management at Iomega including collaborating with global teams improving customer satisfaction, product design, profitability, and localization for worldwide product releases. He has led teams that have delivered products recognized by the PC Magazine Editor’s Choice Award. He holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stephen F. Austin State University.
