Users can click to edit any type of document from almost any storage point directly from a federated web file interface and the document will open for editing on the users desktop using the associated file type. Once the user has finished editing, CloudEdit will save the file back to the original storage point.

Jim Liddle, CEO, Storage Made Easy, said: “Enterprise companies, in fact all companies, use more than one storage point, be that on-premises or on-cloud. They need solutions for their users that just work and provide an easy frictionless experience. This is what the CloudEdit provides. Open a file from the web File Manager, edit it on the associated Application from your desktop and save back to wherever it was loaded from. It’s painless for the user and it is painless for IT.

All files edited using CloudEdit can be audited using firm’s built in governance and auditing features providing Companies a complete history of user interactions.

CloudEdit is a feature of the Enterprise File Share and Sync Fabric solution, that is available for enterprises, service providers, and educational establishments.
