10TB HGST HDDs Within RAIDdeluxe RAIDs at Starline

Since 2009 Starline Computer GmbH distributes the disk arrays from RAIDdeluxe that are delivered in third generation.

The new RAIDdeluxe systems of the C series have been successfully tested with 10TB HDDs from HGST.

The 10TB helium-filled HDDs currently offer the highest capacity – perfect for reliable and permanent storage of large data amounts. Thus, with a RAIDdeluxe 24-bay disk array up to 240TB and with additional JBODs up to 2.5PB of raw capacity can be achieved.
 
The new RAIDdeluxe C series offers, with continuous 12Gbp/s architecture, host performance and increased system efficiency. The systems are equipped with a Dual Core RAID-on-Chip Areca Technology Corporation‘s RAID controller.
 
It features 12Gb SAS and 6Gb SATA HDDs or SSDs and previous generations of SAS and SATA HDD. Through a 12 Gb miniSAS HD x4 expansion port per controller, multiple JBOD enclosures with 12, 16 or 24 drive bays can be connected without additional licensing costs – for a total of up to 256 drives. They are suitable for fast database applications as well as for providing large storage capacity.
