Xitore,RoohparvarXitore, Inc., provider of high bandwidth, low latency data storage, announced the election of Frankie Roohparvar as its chairman, board of directors.





He joined Xitore in February as chief strategy officer and he will continue in that capacity in addition to his new role.

"We are very pleased to have Roohparvar serve as chairman, board of directors. A veteran of the storage industry and a proven leader, Frankie was the obvious choice for our stockholders," said Mike Amidi, CEO.

Prior to joining Xitore, he served as VP and senior strategic advisor at HGST (a WD company), CEO of Skyera (an all-flash array start-up), and GM and VP of the NAND business unit at Micron Technology. He is a prolific inventor and has over 500 United States' patents. He also served on the board of directors of Link-A-Media, a flash controller company acquired by SK Hynix in 2012.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and MBA degrees from both Columbia Business School and the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
