T5 Data Centers Expands Service With Pivot3

For hyper-converged infrastructure and flash storage solutions

T5 Data Centers, LLC, in customizable and reliable computing support environments, partners with Pivot3, Inc., provider of dynamic hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions and predictable flash storage.

The partnership will result in the creation of the first Pivot3 center of excellence within T5’s LEED certified, 100,500 square foot T5@Atlanta data center – a purpose-built, server-ready and cloud-enabled multi-tenant data center that offers concurrently maintainable infrastructure and connectivity solutions to support companies’ evolving IT strategies.

By partnering with Pivot3, T5 is able to expand its offerings to include hyper-converged infrastructure for the software-defined data center across its national portfolio of cloud-enabled data centers, which are all purpose-built to meet the diverse demands of the agile, application-driven business. Pivot3 offers a dense server footprint and power draw, which translates to great value for T5 cloud customers.

Pivot3 can easily scale-out cloud environments for CPU, RAM and disk from a TB to a PB while only consuming less than 10% of system resources – no other HCI vendor can provide this,” said Jason Peoples, VP of channel sales, Pivot3. “The Center of Excellence demonstrates how enterprise production workloads can scale securely and efficiently with Pivot3’s patented technology, which is a great match for T5’s highly reliable environments characterized by total availability and continuous operations.

Analysts from Gartner, Inc., International Data Corporation (IDC) and Forrester Research all describe hyper-converged infrastructure as one of the fastest-growing IT market segments, amounting to a $1.5 billion market in 2016, according to IDC, with Gartner predicting HCI exploding to a $5 billion market in the next three years.

By bringing Pivot3 into their data centers across North America – first in Atlanta, followed closely by their Los Angeles site – T5 will be at the forefront of this market transformation and the next generation of data center virtualization.

We are seeing an increasing number of customers building cloud architectures on hyperconverged platforms,” said Craig McKesson, EVP, enterprise solutions, T5. “The demand for cloud services continues to grow exponentially. By adding Pivot3’s solution suite to our customer offering, we will be able to provide better scalability and performance, as well as reduced cost and complexity for mission critical business applications powered by our always on computing environments.

By implementing Pivot3’s HCI technology, T5 is changing the face of co-location solutions, giving customers the flexibility of scalable shared storage and compute to execute on their strategy and grow their business. T5 customers have the flexibility and choice to linearly scale out dense compute and software-defined storage platforms on rackmount and blade servers with a defined TCO.
