Commvault Systems, Inc. launched Remote Managed Services to give customers the option of supporting and managing company’s software environments through firm’s dedicated Remote Managed Services team.

As customers adopt new technologies to align and meet the needs of their business with cloud, virtualization, deduplication, search and replication technologies, Remote Managed Services helps IT leaders focus on core business priorities, maximize their investment in Commvault’s technologies, and entrust management and monitoring activities to a dedicated team.

While most customers today are easily managing their Commvault environments with in-house resources, there are companies that want the option to engage directly with the company or a certified partner for remote management. By giving customers the ability to focus on their strategic priorities without overwhelming IT staff with demands for data management, firm’s Remote Managed Services increases confidence through continuous solution optimization, installation and configuration of company’s software and troubleshooting and resolving backup, restore, replication, archiving and more.

The Remote Managed Services offering includes the skilled personnel, monitoring facilities, optimized processes, reporting and best practices necessary to manage customer data. All features of company’s software are supported, including backup, archiving, virtual infrastructure management, DR, analytics, eDiscovery, IntelliSnap, content indexing and search and endpoint backup. The Managed Services team also supports all types of infrastructure and storage supported by company’s software, and is vendor-neutral to VMs, hypervisors and cloud storage.

In addition to offering the service directly for customers, the firm has an offering available to resellers that have attained the Remote Managed Services specialization within the Service Advantage Program. Remote Managed Services provides partners a turnkey approach with incremental business opportunities and the ability to combine additional, value-add services (hardware managed services, hardware resale, financing/leasing, etc.) as a complete packaged offering for their customers.
