Dell and EMC Receive European Commission Clearance for $67 Billion Proposed Merger

U.S. Federal Trade Commission already did it.

Dell Inc. and EMC Corp. announced that the European Commission (EC) has granted unconditional clearance to the companies’ proposed combination.

The EC announced the clearance on Feb. 29, 2016.

The transaction remains subject to approval by EMC’s shareholders, regulatory clearance in certain other jurisdictions and other customary closing conditions.
