Red Hat, Inc., Raleigh, NC, has been assigned a patent (9,250,672) developed by DeHaan, Michael Paul, Morrisville, NC, for a “cloning target machines in a software provisioning environment.”

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”The transferring of storage content is disclosed. The method may include providing an agent to a target machine in a network of target machines, where the agent is configured to copy storage contents of the target machine. The method may further include receiving the copied storage contents.
