Infortrend EonStor DS 4000 Gen2 Support Converged Host Board

With four 10Gb FCoE ports per host board, firm’s storage systems offer its customers the FC protocol performance and reliability but over Ethernet networks, which simplifies systems’ deployment.
The company converged host board gives users the possibility to upgrade their storage systems to meet their changing data growth and storage infrastructure needs simply by switching between the four integrated host port types, including interchangeable 16Gb and 8Gb FC, 10Gb iSCSI and the newly supported 10Gb FCoE ports.
In terms of configuration, a dual controller EonStor DS 4000 Gen2 system supports up to twenty iSCSI protocols (sixteen 10Gb iSCSI and four 1Gb iSCSI) or sixteen 8Gb or eight 16Gb FC, or sixteen 10Gb FCoE.

Firm’s converged host board with FCoE connective support is currently only available on EonStor DS 4000 Gen2 Series systems, further availability on the entire EonStor DS Family is expected in 2Q16.
