Frankie Roohparvar Board’s Directors and Chief Strategy Officer, Xitore

xitore roohparvarXitore, Inc. announced the appointment of Frankie Roohparvar to its board of directors and as an executive officer of the company.

He joins with over 30 years in technology and executive management experience, and a track record in the creation and execution of successful corporate strategies that have benefited start-ups and large semiconductor companies.

"We are very excited that Frankie has joined our board of directors and Executive Management team. As proven leader and veteran of the storage industry, he will provide immediate benefits to our company," said Mike Amidi, CEO, Xitore.

In his new role, Roohparvar will serve as chief strategy officer.

Prior to joining Xitore, he served as VP and senior strategic advisor at HGST (a WD company). He became part of the HGST team as a result of HGST's acquisition of Skyera, an all flash array storage start-up, where he served as the CEO. Prior to joining Skyera, he was the GM and VP of the NAND business unit at Micron Technology. He is a prolific inventor and has over 500 U.S. patents. He also served on the board of directors of Link-A-Media, a flash controller company acquired by SK Hynix in 2012.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from both Columbia Business School and the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
