CSSI to Distribute Infortrend

Infortrend Technology, Inc., announced the appointment of Computer Storage Services (CSSI) as their distributor for their range of storage devices.

During 2015, Infortrend was ranked first In terms of IO/s and speed performance records, as assessed by the Storage Performance Council. The company won several other awards, including a 5-star review from ITPro UK for the SMB product range and high-speed array devices in their DS family range.

Their choice of partner – CSSI has been a storage and solutions provider on the African continent for the past 16 years. With branches in the major city centres – Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg, backed by a 24-hour support and call-out team allowing this partnership to provide Infortrend’s South African clients with products, performance and service.

To celebrate the partnership announcement and accolades received, Infortrend/CSSi are providing per terabyte SAN pricing guarantees till March 2016, and 20% discounts on SSD bundled DS / all-flash storage or hybrid SAN devices to new customers and resellers in the African region.

One feature to customers who need performance storage is Infortrend’s ability to interchange host ports on their DS family storage range. So if a connectivity or platform change is required, the devices can be modified to FC, or SAS, and to 10GbE by changing a host card. Infortrend product portfolio caters for the NAS, DAS and SAN market from a couple of terabyte to high end petabyte requirements.

Because the host interface modules are independent of the storage controllers, the DR range can be configured or at any time upgraded between FC, iSCSI or SAS, alongside with its default iSCSI ports without having to replace disk, the array or any lengthy downtime. Such technological features enhance the offering, add exponential savings for business, or for data centres that have requirements for high speed, cross platform with HA needs.
