Scott Skidmore VP, Global Channel Sales, Guidance Software

Was at Permabit, Commvault, Zetta, EMC and EqualLogic.

Guidance Software, Inc., makers of EnCase, the standard for digital investigations and endpoint data security, announced the appointment of Scott Skidmore as VP, global channel sales, and Jeff Hines as group VP sales for the Americas theatre.

Skidmore will manage the global channel sales organization and program. He will be responsible for the company’s primary routes to market in geographies where Guidance does not have a field sales organization.

As theatre leader, Hines will grow, mentor and manage a direct Americas sales team.

In these roles, the executives will focus on expanding the company’s sales and channel operations, and corresponding investments and programs, to meet the growing demand for and accelerate the delivery of the company’s products and services.

Scott SkidmoreA technology executive with more than 20 years of sales management experience, Scott Skidmore was most recently the VP of WW sales at Permabit after serving as VP of channel sales for the Americas at Commvault. Prior to joining CommVault, he was VP of WW sales at Zetta, a cloud storage-as-a-service company, and held executive management positions at EMC and EqualLogic, where he helped facilitate the integration of the company into Dell’s business after it was acquired for $1.4 billion. He earned his BS degree in business and economics from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Guidance Software hinesAlso a 20-year veteran of the technology industry, Jeff Hines held high profile sales and channel positions at HDS, COPAN Systems, EMC and Oracle. As a forward-thinking sales leader, he implemented customer-focused sales strategies and built teams in the enterprise software industry that drove sustainable multimillion dollar revenue quarters. He earned a BS degree in marketing from Indiana University.
