Arcserve Licenses Axcient’s Application Awareness Technology

Axcient, Inc., in cloud-based Recovery-as-a-Service (RaaS) announced that Arcserve, LLC, a provider of data protection and recovery solutions, has licensed Axcient’s OEM-enabled application-aware granular recovery technology for Exchange Server.

Axcient Granular Recovery technology will be leveraged by Arcserve to best serve its mid-market customer base.

Companies both big and small are expected to be ‘always on.’ Any prolonged service downtime is detrimental to productivity within a company. Core information systems need to be running and available at all times, especially for the mid-market, to maintain productivity and revenue. Axcient’s technology is designed to minimize downtime and keep systems and apps running smoothly so that business can function without disruption. Granular recovery is a key feature of the Axcient business recovery platform that allows these organizations to restore individual objects from a single image snapshot of Exchange.

Arcserve Unified Data Protection is a data protection solution that combines global deduplication, encryption, and WAN-optimized replication with simplicity. Organizations using Arcserve will benefit from Axcient’s simple yet powerful tool to restore granular objects including messages, contacts and calendar items from EDB files in Windows environments without the need to restore and mount the entire mail store.
