DataCore Provides Storage Virtualisation for SAP-Certified Enterprise Storage Solutions

DataCore Software Corporation announced that its SANsymphony-V is certified by SAP to provide storage virtualisation for SAP-certified enterprise storage solutions that can be used by the SAP HANA platform.

SANsymphony-V is a storage virtualisation solution that operates across multiple vendors’ storage systems to help deliver the performance required by demanding enterprise applications.

Customers that leverage the functionality and flexibility of SANsymphony-V with the SAP HANA platform for real-time computing can benefit from the accelerated integration, reduced support requirements, and improved technical alignment that can result from choosing to use solutions that have been tested and certified for integration.

SANsymphony-V storage virtualisation is only SAP-certified when running on a separate compute node and used together with an SAP-certified storage solution from Fujitsu, Huawei, IBM, Dell, NEC, Nimble Storage, Pure Storage, Fusion-io, Violin Memory, EMC, NetApp, HP or Hitachi.

The certification is for up to 16 nodes running SAP HANA on systems running SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
