Steve Querner VP North America Sales, Violin Memory

Coming from Microsoft (StorSimple), IBM (XIV), EMC and Cisco

violin,quernerViolin Memory, Inc. announced that Steve Querner has joined the company as VP, North America sales.

He joins Violin Memory from Microsoft where he spent the past four years as VP sales managing the StorSimple sales organization following Microsoft’s acquisition in 2011. Prior to that, he spent four years as the North American storage sales leader with IBM through its acquisition of XIV in 2007, where he led the sales team in the fastest growing segment within the IBM storage division. His storage sales leadership also includes roles at EMC as VP, AsiaPac sales and WW storage networking sales for Cisco.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Texas A&M University.

In his new role, Steve will report to SVP Said Ouissal, and be responsible for driving sales across all regions of North America.
