LifeSite Closes $5 Million Series A
After $4.5 million in early stage funding last month
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 10, 2015 at 2:37 pmLifeSite, Inc., a new technology company, announces the close of its series A round with $5 million in total funding from a syndicate of private investors.
One of the additional investors to close out the round is Michael Dan, the former chairman, president and CEO of The Brink’s Company. He also joins LifeSite as an advisor.
“We are excited by the enthusiasm shared among all of our early investors,” said Chris Wong, LifeSite CEO. “And we are honored that the very man who was responsible for making Brinks’ ‘vault-on-wheels’ armored vehicles a national icon synonymous with security supports our introduction of LifeSite Vault.“
“Protecting your digital assets should be a top priority, just like protecting your money and physical possessions,” says Dan. “In this day and age, more and more people are digitizing their important assets such as documents and account information, and with that comes a sense of urgency to lockup and really protect that personal data, while keeping it accessible to you when you need it most. LifeSite is conquering this challenge.”
LifeSite announces its other advisors which include Teddy Zee, technology start-up mentor and executive producer of The Pursuit of Happyness; television journalist Lisa Ling, currently executive producer and host of THIS IS LIFE on CNN; Jerry Rice, NFL all of Fame wide receiver and three-time Super Bowl champion; and Morgan Wright, internationally recognized expert on cybersecurity strategy.
“I know just how imperative having a central life record is becoming within my own family,” says television Ling. “LifeSite is working to solve a problem for all of us, providing a safe place to help us manage the key information we all accumulate through every phase of life, with the 24/7 access we all need.”
Last month, LifeSite introduced its flagship product LifeSite Vault, a secure web-based solution for storing all of life’s vital information and documents. Providing safe 24/7 access to users’ information from any mobile device, the companion LifeSite Vault mobile app is now available for download on mobile OSs, including Apple iOS, and Android.
“By obsessing on security from the start,” says Wright. “LifeSite has separated itself from other solutions that were more concerned with getting to market than focusing on the security and privacy of your personal information.”
Wright continues: “We have evolved into a highly mobile society. For too long our vital information was not as mobile as our lifestyle. That has changed with LifeSite.”
The company secured last month $4.5 million in early stage funding from a syndicate of private investors.
