SkyKick With Cloud Backup in UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands and Sweden

Also introducing Microsoft Internal Use Rights offer to enable European partners to backup their own data for free

SkyKick, Inc., a provider of cloud management software for IT solution partners, announced that its cloud backup application is available in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden with more European countries coming soon.

Previously available in North America and AsiaPac, SkyKick Cloud Backup provides cloud-to-cloud backup, unlimited storage and instantaneous recovery of Office 365 data – specifically from Exchange Online, Microsoft OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online. Since launching in July 2015, solution providers around the world have used SkyKick Backup to safely secure hundreds of millions of mission-critical emails, documents, contacts and calendar items.

Recovering cloud data can be time consuming, complicated and sometimes impossible,” said SkyKick’s VP of international, Eric Jewett. “Research shows over 50% of organizations incur cloud data loss and 75% of the time this happens because employees accidentally delete mission critical information. While Microsoft provides robust geo-redundancy for critical data loss, our partners told us they needed an easy way to recover their customers’ data instantaneously, as well as the ability to provide an extra layer of control and independent data ownership.

SkyKick’s Cloud Backup product is a powerful solution that helps partners recover their customers’ lost data in seconds, which reduces support costs and provides a better customer experience. It is built on a powerful platform with high levels of encryption and security, and no software to install. It only takes a minute to set up, and offers powerful, simple search with one-click restore of Office 365 data. The product also includes unlimited data retention, so customer data can be backed up for as long as required. Additionally, it is white labeled for partners, empowering them to build a more profitable, recurring revenue Office 365 practice.

Free for partners to backup Own Office 365 data
SkyKick announced that the SkyKick Cloud Backup application is included as a free benefit within Microsoft’s Internal Use Rights (IUR) program for partners in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden. Previously, the SkyKick Cloud Backup IUR offer was exclusively available to partners in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

With this IUR benefit, Microsoft Action Pack, Silver and Gold Competency partners can backup their cloud data using SkyKick technology and store that data on Azure for free. The offer provides a no obligation, free way for solution providers to test out SkyKick Cloud Backup before offering it to their customers.

Recovering lost data can take partners hours,” said Gavriella Schuster, GM, Microsoft’s WW partner group, who wrote a blog post about the SkyKick relationship. “We’re excited to offer a solution that enables data to be easily recovered ins, allowing partners to focus on helping customers and increasing their revenue opportunities in the cloud.

EU Data Protection and Privacy Laws
SkyKick’s cloud Backup product offers the option for partners to utilize their own Azure Storage host in any Microsoft datacenter around the world, or use SkyKick’s isolated Azure storage tenants. Data stored at rest is encrypted with 256-bit encryption. For additional peace of mind and protection, SkyKick will also upon request, enter into an EU model contractual clauses with its partners to help satisfy EU data protection obligations. This is an approach that Microsoft itself applies.
