Saturn Business Systems Distributor of DataCore
Solution provider in New York
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 19, 2015 at 2:43 pmDataCore Software Corporation announced that Saturn Business Systems, a solution provider, will support and sell DataCore’s Software-Defined Storage (SDS) and Hyper-Converged Virtual SAN software.
Saturn has built its business providing integrated IT solutions to mid-market and enterprise accounts for over 33 years. The IT solutions provider partners with the technology solution vendors to tailor and implement customized data center and cloud solutions, including IBM Corporation, Pure Storage, Inc., HP, Aginity, Cisco Systems, Inc., SAS, Lenovo Enterprise Solutions, Pte Ltd, Veeam Software, Inc., and DataCore.
Saturn focuses on delivering infrastructure solutions that serve data centers – such as enterprise server solutions (both x86 and Unix), storage, virtualization, networking and cloud. To do this, the company partners with select technology solution providers to tailor and implement customized data center and cloud solutions. Saturn sees SDS as one of the three critical pillars of computing – the others being converged computing and cloud.
“For Saturn, it is all about making things work more efficiently for our clients and helping them save money. Because each client comes with unique requirements, we partner with IT leaders to deliver the best solutions and offer boundless application possibilities,” stated George Pappas, sales director, Saturn Business Systems. “The business and technology benefits of DataCore’s SDS are resounding and proven – making its technology a great addition to the cadre of integrated best-of-breed solutions that define our partner offerings.“
Generations of customers have utilized DataCore Software as an investment upon which they build their storage and virtualization strategy. This is because DataCore’s storage management and virtualization intelligence is portable software. As a software platform, customers can swap out underlying hardware at will and are not locked in to a particular hardware vendor.
DataCore pioneered storage virtualization and infrastructure-wide auto-tiering and provisioning technologies. They have taken their SDS solution and added to their technology superiority with DataCore’s Adaptive Parallel I/O Software. Organizations worldwide are increasingly leveraging DataCore SDS to achieve faster performance, better data protection and overall storage efficiency.
“Saturn focuses on providing end-to-end, complete solutions to its clients,” commented Devi Madhavan, VP channel sales and enablement, DataCore. “What DataCore brings is both a strategy – built on a software-defined approach – as well as a software platform that delivers enduring value. Buying a DataCore software license is very much an investment in a storage framework that Saturn clients will never outgrow due to our perpetual licensing – where customers buy what they need now and build on that, leaving nothing to waste. The investment in DataCore goes with customers from platform-to-platform and scales accordingly, no matter what the size of the data footprint is.“
“DataCore offers the most robust and feature-rich SDS solution in the marketplace today. We also have a long history of partnering with the Lenovo Intel team to develop solutions that bring real value to our clients. Given both of our companies’ existing partnership with Lenovo, we firmly believe the combination of Lenovo, DataCore and Saturn is unbeatable,” explained Rich McCarty, account executive, Saturn.
