£50 with three-user license
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 19, 2015 at 2:45 pmBullGuard Ltd. has announced the version of its Internet Security software for the consumer market.
Designed to enhance performance, convenience and deliver cutting-edge antivirus and malware protection, this version of Internet Security offers a range of new features and is fully compatible with Windows 10.
Dropbox-compatible backup and encryption
As one of few security suites to offer secure backup to safeguard files, the company provides 5GB of storage. It includes convenient, encrypted backup to Dropbox accounts via the software, offering peace of mind that important documents are securely stored. Files and folders can be selected without having to move them to a specific folder, with the process able to be run on demand or as a scheduled event. Unencrypted files are viewable in Dropbox as normal files for added convenience from any device or browser, and full synchronisation reflects changes made to files and folders in real time.
Enhanced PC tune up
Internet Security provides a real boost to performance, making PC tune up and optimisation even easier. New tools include duplicate file detection to identify and delete unnecessary files to free up disk space. A Cleanup Helper actively recommends safe file removal with single-click fast delete and provides category views for a far clearer picture of the file system. Finally, a Boot Manager gives an intuitive overview of the applications that start automatically with the computer. Users can view both mandatory and optional processes and applications to fine-tune start-up with ease, improving boot speed and freeing up memory and processor usage for a faster and smoother PC.
Even stronger
As shown in recent tests, Internet Security’s enhanced behavioural detection engine now offers more protection than ever before. An improved safe browsing module reduces impact on performance, a streamlined quarantine provides protection without user intervention, and specific exploit detection includes malicious URLs and executable image files. Users will find improved detection of malware at Windows start-up to combat rootkit attacks, and helps to protect against the rise of ransom ware that is affecting increasing numbers of PCs.
More flexible parental controls
Company’s powerful parental controls have been improved with enhanced reports and notifications to help parents to ensure they are always one step ahead. The in-depth child monitor offers more detail on activity, parents can automatically view newly created Windows profiles and are notified when time and application restrictions are applied.
“The improvements we’ve made to Internet Security reflect our users’ feedback and our own observations about the demands of modern consumers” said Cam Le, CMO, BullGuard. “Our already powerful antivirus engine has been enhanced to continue to deliver the very best protection against modern threats. We’ve also made changes to make it easier than ever before to keep important files safe and with our value added tools, keep a computer in great working order.“
Internet Security is available priced at £49.95 with a three-user license, and is also available as a 60 day free trial. The software will be automatically updated for existing users and those upgrading to Windows 10 will see a smooth migration to the new version.
