Solid Park to Resell Tintri In Sweden
Instead of NetApp
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 27, 2015 at 2:50 pmTintri, Inc. has signed a reseller agreement with Solid Park AB, a Swedish provider of IT services.
The company, which hosts several hundred virtual servers for customers around Sweden, is headquartered in Västerås and has sales offices in Stockholm, Norrköping, Linköping and Katrineholm.
Solid Park will sell Tintri products in the Nordics as well as operate Tintri in its own data center.
Previously, Solid Park used to be a NetApp, Inc.‘s reseller. However, it decided to move to Tintri for its virtualised applications. A benefit of the Tintri system is the ability to see across the host, network and storage system to identify the source of any performance issues.
Tintri storage is designed for virtualised applications-it allows organisations to take or automate every storage action at the VM level. This simplifies storage management and allows organisations to guarantee application performance.
Peter Eriksson, regional sales manager, Tintri, said: “Solid Park is the most technologically advanced of our Nordic partners. The company has embraced Tintri’s concept by implementing the Tintri solution in its own data center. This commitment is proof of Solid Park’s conviction that Tintri is the best storage for virtualised environments.“
Johan Åkerlund, MD, Solid Park, said: “It’s our policy to operate high quality equipment in our IT center. Tintri’s storage systems are designed from the ground up for virtualisation. This helps us to provide reliable performance to our customers. By using what we sell, we also ensure that we know the products inside out. We have gathered experience through specialising in Tintri that enables us to offer our customers new insights that advance their IT environments.“
Magnus Osterlund, senior VMware and Wintel architect, Solid Park said: “We were very excited to migrate our customer workloads from NetApp to Tintri and literally see the change in performance and available capacity in real time without the need for Dead Chicken Voodoo or expensive third party plug-ins… just plain VM-aware storage out of the box! Exactly like it should be!“
Solid Park will sell Tintri’s hybrid and all-flash systems. The Tintri T800 series of hybrid systems features the high data density, which can manage up to 100 B and 3,500 VMs in 4 rack units. The T5000 series of all-flash systems, meanwhile, extends the benefits of VM aware storage to demanding applications such as very large databases, analytics workloads and large persistent virtual desktops.
