Dataguise Integrates DgSecure With Azure HDInsight

Dataguise, Inc. announced integration with Microsoft Azure HDInsight to support improved security and compliant Hadoop deployments on Microsoft Azure.

Integrated with Azure’s HDInsight Hadoop distribution, DgSecure helps organizations safely unlock the benefits of big data with a precise security solution for detecting, auditing, protecting, and monitoring sensitive data assets in real time. It makes data security for Azure HDInsight painless by delivering a one-stop, out-of-the-box solution with the highest levels of protection.

The combination of Azure HDInsight and DgSecure allows organizations to deploy HA Hadoop distributions in the cloud with complete end-to-end security where environments can scale elastically on demand. Essential capabilities in DgSecure include the ability to detect sensitive data regardless of its data type or location, define its relationship to other data, prevent unentitled access and provide monitoring for complete data privacy assurance.

Without writing a line of code, Azure HDInsight customers can use DgSecure to detect where sensitive data resides across Hadoop deployments of any size. The solution’s auditing functions provide visibility on what sensitive data is connected to and co-mingled with, as well as who is accessing it. Once identified and analyzed, the data can be protected at the element level with masking or encryption strategies. Azure HDInsight repositories can also be policed 24/7 by DgSecure to prevent unwelcome access by unapproved parties.
