IBM Spectrum Accelerate Available as a Service on SoftLayer Cloud

It’s possible to get the benefit of performance, hotspot-free, grid-based, enterprise Spectrum Accelerate on the cloud without the burden of hardware acquisition and upkeep.
Spectrum Accelerate on cloud comes in two configurations:
- Capacity-oriented
- Performance-oriented
Spectrum Accelerate V11.5.1 delivers following functions with this release:
- Converge compute and storage ith the Spectrum Accelerate VM and the VMs of other applications on the same server, enabling customer-built, hyper-converged solutions based on XIV storage technology
- Enable usage of nonuniform, asymmetric server deployment
- Support for any HDD form factor with a capacity point between 1TB to 4TB
- Support for any SSD form factor and capacity point up to 800GB as a cache device
- Enable Spectrum Accelerate to use HDDs that are indirectly attached to the server
- Support for Microsoft System Control VM Manager management via SMI-S V1.6
