Caringo Swarm Certified With Symantec Enterprise Vault 11

Caringo, Inc. has certified its software-defined object storage, Caringo Swarm, with Symantec Enterprise Vault 11 to lower storage costs and associated legal and regulatory expenses for customers through an integrated, long-term data retention solution.

Enterprise Vault is a content-archiving solution that enables organizations to store, manage and discover and retrieve unstructured data from multiple sources, such as email, instant messaging, social media, SharePoint and file servers. Caringo Swarm integrates with Enterprise Vault 11 via Symantec’s Storage Streamer API to provide joint customers a centralized email and data archiving solution that is cost effective, reliable and scalable.

Swarm is a long-term storage solution for the most stringent corporate and government use cases. The company’s object-storage approach means that data is stored as a whole with metadata that includes customizable lifecycle policies, access policies and content integrity seals, ensuring the information chain of custody.
