Huawei in Enterprise Storage Systems Xith OceanStor 18000 V3 Series

Huawei Technologies CO, Ltd. released its next-generation enterprise storage system, the OceanStor 18000 V3 series.

Comprising two models, OceanStor 18500 V3 and 18800 V3, the series sets a benchmark for high-end storage systems, delivering 99.9999% solution availability, performance, and future-oriented cloud-ready convergence features to support enterprises in attaining consistent service availability.

Ultimate stability and future-proof design
The OceanStor 18000 V3 series comprises two models, the OceanStor 18500 V3 and the OceanStor 18800 V3. The OceanStor 18800 V3 is of enhanced configurations and is scalable up to 16 controllers and 27.6PB capacity. Other product specifications include, flash memory technology, automated storage media identification, and configuration optimization algorithms. Both products in the OceanStor 18000 V3 series deliver a 95% improvement to disk reconstruction speed, and a gateway-free and active-active DR solution which validates its use with most mission-critical services. When compared to previous versions, the OceanStor 18000 V3 series doubles the computing capability, delivering up to three million IO/s, reducing the access latency to sub-1ms, and accelerating the service response speed tenfold.
