Datto Enhances Product Family With Enterprise BC Offerings

Datto, Inc. announced the expansion of its Siris 2 Enterprise product line up to 60TB, providing MSPs with more storage for their clients than ever before.

Additionally, Datto updated its bring your own device solution with the launch of Genisis 2. With a commitment to safeguard the world’s business data everywhere it lives, Datto releases four new options to help drive growth for its partners and the channel, alike.

Aimed at the expanding the enterprise market, it caters to businesses with data requirements up to 60TB.

The upgraded Datto Siris2 Enterprise models utilize the same core technologies as the entire Siris2 product line such as instant on and off-site virtualization, screenshot backup verification, Inverse Chain Technology, backup insights and end-to-end encryption. As a solution for mitigating downtime, Siris 2 clients have the reliability of knowing their businesses can scale; 500GB-2TB with Siris 2 Business, 1-5TB with Siris 2 Professional, and 5-60TB with Siris 2 Enterprise.

The upgraded 40-60TB models will come with dual Xeon E5 twelve-processors and can be configured up to 1TB of RAM.

Originally unveiled in 2012, Genisis 2 is a revamped USB-based imaging technology that converts an array of BDR appliances and hardware into the Siris 2 BC device.

A benefit for MSPs is the ability to convert an unlimited amount of devices while using the same USB stick with no additional cost. The opportunity to configure many of the appliance settings during the conversion process helps save partners time and make smooth converting hardware into Siris 2.

Additional features include improved hardware capability, no provisioning fees and enhanced support for devices on the supported hardware list.
