Interact for Health Guarantees Application Performance With Gridstore HyperConverged Appliance
With 9TB on 3 nodes
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 18, 2015 at 2:12 pmGridstore, Inc., announced that Interact for Health, an independent non-profit catalyst for health and wellness serving 20 counties in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, has chosen its HyperConverged Appliance (HCA) for its data center refresh to support their primary business mission.
This included such workloads as SQL Server, anti-virus, and terminal servers.
Interact for Health was looking to update their IT infrastructure in order to continue to support the mission of the nonprofit to serve their community. With an investment and commitment to Microsoft data center technology, and Hyper-V in particular, they wanted systems that would fit in and improve their application performance. The 3 node 9TB Gridstore HCA system, configured in a failover cluster, replaced their Dell PowerVault storage and SQL Server.
“Gridstore was engineered with Hyper-V in mind,” said Cliff Hastings, Interact for Health’s director of IT. “Being able to set QoS at the VM-level meant guaranteed performance for our applications. Even though the solution was all-flash it was very affordable. I compared the total of all the investments we’d made in physical infrastructure over the past five years, and the Gridstore installation was less.“
Hastings added: “Another point very important to us is the failover capability. I can lose an entire node or one disk in every node simultaneously and the VMs will keep running. Installation time was less than an hour and it’s very easy to administer. Working with Gridstore has been great and the HyperConverged Appliance is a winner for our organization.“
“Working with Gridstore has been very productive for Interact for Health. They go above and beyond working with me to get what I need. The solution is everything we hoped it would be and exceeded our expectations.“
