Mushkin Striker Line of SSDs Available

Mushkin Enhanced MFG, an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance and mission-critical computer products, announced the global availability of its Striker line of SSDs, which were initially revealed during CES 2015.

The Striker is available at Newegg.com as well as other authorized retailers worldwide.

As originally announced at CES 2015, the Striker SSD line is available in 240GB, 480GB, and 960GB capacities. The SSD utilizes a Phison PS3110-S10 quad-core controller for maximum performance – boasting read speeds of up to 565MB/s, write speeds up to 550MB/s, and 4K random read and write transaction performance of up to 90,000 IO/s.

To ensure reliability, the new SSD is equipped with end-to-end data path protection to eliminate errors along the data path, SmartECC to provide multiple levels of error correction, SmartRefresh which scans flash during idle and runtime to seek and replace weak blocks, and SmartFlush to minimize user data in volatile DRAM and help reduce write amplification.

“Striker is aptly named for its purpose:  to mark its place as the premier high-performance SSD series,” said Brian Flood, director of product development, Mushkin.

The Striker will allow its users to experience highly-accelerated application load times, boot performance, multimedia editing, and general usage.
