Bacula4Business builds on the proven open source technology to bring businesses a complete backup solution that was previously available to web hosting providers.

It offers a combination of enterprise functionality and innovative pricing. Users make a one-off payment for the platform, and incur no extra costs for backup disk space – as their data grows, their costs do not.

It is a backup solution that can be deployed in-house or hosted on the Bacula4 servers.

Bacula4Business allows organizations to backup all their data onto commodity servers or Bacula4’s cloud infrastructure, with no proprietary hardware requirements. The platform provides complete and granular control of all aspects of backup and restoration, allowing file-level restorations as well as block level bare metal restoration of servers, including cloud servers and VMs.

“The enterprise backup space has long been known for high prices and low user friendliness, making it ripe for disruption,” commented Andrew Rouchotas, CEO, Bacula4, “We have many years experience building backup solutions for web hosting and cloud providers, who have some of the most complex and demanding backup requirements in the world. Bacula4Business brings the advanced backup technology we developed for the web services industry to business – it’s easy to use, inexpensive, and provides unbeatable levels of data control and protection.

Bacula4Business supports a range of hardware configurations and is capable of backing up data from Linux, BSD, and Windows machines, in addition to supporting all common database applications, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL, and virtualization platforms, including XEN, XenServer, KVM, and VMWare. Bacula4 also offers support for cloud platforms that include AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace, Digital Ocean, and Cartika.
