MapR Launches Quick Start Solutions to Speed Customer Success With Hadoop

MapR Technologies, Inc. announced the availability of three Quick Start Solutions for the Distribution solution including Apache Hadoop.

These solutions address commonly-implemented and Hadoop use cases for Data Warehouse Optimization and Analytics, Security Log Analytics and Recommendation Engines.

The Quick Start Solutions enable customers to realize time-to-value with their Hadoop implementations. Each solution incorporates practices and knowledge gained from years of hands-on experience from data scientists and engineers who have built big data applications for customers leveraging Hadoop.

Data Warehouse Optimization and Analytics Template

• Data Warehouse Optimization and Analytics Solution – gives customers the flexibility to use Hadoop with their data warehouse to reduces overall system cost by performing transformations on Hadoop and freeing up previously used storage and capacity. In addition, customers have the ability to add types and sources of data into the MapR Distribution for more granular and richer analytics across the combined Hadoop and data warehouse solution.

Security Log Analytics Template

• Security Log Analytics Solution – enables analysis of historical data as well as real-time analysis of large volumes of security data, which can help in early detection of advanced and unknown threats. This solution augments existing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions by providing cost-effective storage and processing for deep analytics and by predicting anomalous behavior within the environment to identify unknown threats.

Recommendation Engine Template

• Recommendation Engine Solution – helps businesses increase revenues and customer loyalty by delivering real-time offers for products and services that combine past transactions, customer behavior and other customer attributes.

The Quick Start Solutions are available from MapR and authorized partners worldwide. Pricing begins at $30,000.
