Nakivo Launching V5.5 Beta With Instant Object Recovery

Nakivo, Inc. announced the v5.5 Beta Program.

Nakivo invites VMware professionals to try Backup & Replication v5.5 Beta featuring Instant Object Recovery for MS Active Directory. Using the feature, Active Directory objects and containers can be recovered directly from VMware VM backups. All beta program participants completing the beta program participation requirements will be rewarded with an Amazon gift card.

Backup & Replication v5.5 Beta provides the ability to instantly browse, search, and recover Active Directory objects and containers (such as entire domains or user groups) directly from compressed and deduplicated VM backups, without having to restore an entire VM first.

The object recovery process is simple: after specifying a VM backup and a recovery point, Backup & Replication automatically locates the Active Directory database in the VM backup and – within a fews – displays the contents of the database right in the product’s Web UI. From this point, the product provides the ability to browse and search the database, view object attributes, and recover Active Directory objects and containers.
