Tab Products Has Chosen United Computer Group

United Computer Group, Inc. (UCG), an IT services firm, announce that TAB Products Co, LLC, headquartered in Mayville, WI has chosen VAULT400 BaaS as its backup solution.

TAB is a private company with over 500 employees and a sales office in every major US and Canadian city, as well as in Amsterdam, London, and Sydney, Australia. TAB provides records management solutions for a diverse number of clients in a variety of industries including financial, legal, medical, pharmaceutical, architecture and design, government and energy.

As TAB is running on an older IBM AS/400, Terry Vilter, IT manager, business systems, needed a backup service now that would to transfer to a new IBM iSeries later this year. With a limited IT staff, condensing man hours underscored the importance of a secure backup solution. UCG’s lead engineer, Vladimir Capitanov, conducted a customized online demo for Vilter, demonstrating the functionality and ease of use.

During the demo, Vilter received answers to all of his questions including the retention policy, delta processing, restores, and more, making him comfortable with UCG’s backup solution.

Vilter stated: “We selected VAULT400 because it runs natively on the iSeries and gives us off-site storage automatically, reducing the transporting of tapes off-site to a minimum.“
